Abstract
Meningoencephalocele is a herniation of meninges, cerebrospinal fluid and brain parenchyma from the skull. It is rare mass, usually occurring in childhood. It is classified as occipital, basal, sincipital on the basis of its anatomical location. Sincipital meninogoencephalocele with an internal cranial defect is localized between the frontal and ethmoid bones. The authors herein report on a 43-year-old woman presented with protruding mass on glabella area with naso-frontal deformity. The cranial end of the lesion was amputated by median frontal craniotomy and bony-dural defect was econstructed by using autografts. The patient showed an uneventful recovery from anesthesia and skull base surgery.
